Ngong Ping Cable Car Maintenance Extended
3 Feb 2012
The Ngong Ping 360 announced that due to the cable car incident during Chinese New Year, maintenance works has commenced and will be extended to early April. The exact date of service resumption will be announced after completion of the engineering works. During the maintenance period, Ngong Ping Village will remain open and the two themed attractions, Walking with Buddha and Monkey’s Tale Theatre, are available for reserved tour groups to experience for free. Temporary Suspension of Ngong Ping 360 cable car service

The Ngong Ping 360 announced that the cable car service will be closed from 26 January, 2012 for maintenance until future notice. Ngong Ping Village will open as usual. Visitors can reach there from Tung Chung by NLB Bus No.23 or taxi. For details, please visit the

Special traffic and transport arrangements in Lam Tsuen, Tai Po during Lunar New Year 2012

A series of temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented to facilitate the staging of the Hong Kong Well-wishing Festival and the celebrating activities during the Lunar New Year 2012 festive period. For details, please refer to the

New Regional Directors of Japan and Southeast Asia

HKTB announced that Mr Kunio Kano, Regional Director of North Asia of HKTB, will retire from his position effective 1 April 2012. Mr David Leung, current Regional Director of South and Southeast Asia, is appointed as Regional Director of Japan. To ensure smooth transition of duties, Mr Leung has assumed his new role with effect from 1 January 2012. Meanwhile, Mr Simon Wong, former Senior Manager of Southern China, has taken over from Mr Leung as Regional Director of Southeast Asia from 1 December 2011.
